An Act protecting motorists and emergency personnel.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended in section 17 by inserting after the 
2words “construction area”, the following words: -, or in the lane adjacent to the right lane if signs 
3have been erected by the department of highways permitting the use of such lane,
