2828 An Act relative to removing the driving restrictions on a car with antique tags.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3232 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the definition “Antique motor car” and
3333 3inserting in place thereof the following definition:-
3434 4 “Antique motor car”, any motor vehicle that is over 25 years old and not used by the
3535 5owner primarily for general transportation purposes. The application for registration shall be
3636 6accompanied by an affidavit upon a form provided by the registrar, which shall include:
3737 7 (i) a statement by the owner that the antique motor vehicle is owned and operated solely
3838 8as an antique item and not primarily for general transportation purposes; and 2 of 2
3939 9 (ii) registration of another motor vehicle, in the owner’s name that is currently used by
4040 10the owner for daily transportation purposes.
4141 11 SECTION 2. Section 33 of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
4242 12striking out the (13) paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:- For the
4343 13registration of every antique motor car; provided that said fee shall be collected every 2 years.
