2828 An Act authorizing the town of Hudson to grant 1 additional license for the sale of wine and malt
2929 beverages not to be drunk on the premises.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the
3333 2licensing authority of the town of Hudson may grant 1 additional license for the sale of wine and
3434 3malt beverages not to be drunk on the premises under section 15 of said chapter 138 to Hudson
3535 4Hives LLC to be operated at the premises located at 45 Main street, Suite 203, in the town of
3636 5Hudson. The license granted under this section shall be subject to all of said chapter 138, except
3737 6said section 17.
3838 7 (b) The licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of the license granted pursuant
3939 8to this act to any other location, but it may grant the license to a new applicant at the same
4040 9location if the applicant files with the licensing authority a letter from the department of revenue
4141 10and a letter from the department of unemployment assistance indicating the license is in good 2 of 2
4242 11standing with those departments and that all applicable taxes, fees and contributions have been
4343 12paid.
4444 13 (c) If a licensee terminates or fails to renew a license granted under this act or any such
4545 14license is cancelled, revoked or no longer in use, it shall be returned physically, with all of the
4646 15legal rights, privileges and restrictions pertaining thereto to the licensing authority which may,
4747 16within 3 years after such return, then grant the license to a new applicant at the same location and
4848 17under the same conditions as specified in this section, otherwise such license shall dissolve.
4949 18 (d) The license authorized to be granted under this act shall be issued within 3 years after
5050 19the effective date of this act; provided, however, that if the license is originally granted within
5151 20that time period it may be granted to a new applicant under subsection (b) or (c) thereafter.
5252 21 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
