By Representative Reid of 	Lynn, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3895) of Sean Reid 
and Daniel Cahill (with the approval of the mayor and city council) for legislation to authorize 
the city of Lynn to establish a pilot program at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute for certain 
eighth grade students. Education. [Local Approval Received.]

An Act expanding career and technical education opportunities for Lynn students.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any independent 
2distributive occupations schools located in the City of Lynn may offer instruction in part time 
3and evening classes whereas attendance upon such day or part time classes shall be restricted to 
4those of at least thirteen years of age; and upon such evening classes, to those over sixteen years 
5of age.
6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
