[Local Approval Received.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act relative to the maximum age requirement for original appointment as a police officer for the city of Worcester. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 58 of chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other 2general or special law to the contrary, no person shall be eligible to have their name certified for 3original appointment to the position of police officer in the city of Worcester if such person has 4reached their fortieth birthday on the date of the entrance examination. 5 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
