No. 4142 By Representative Tyler of Boston, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4142) of Chynah Tyler (with the approval of the mayor and city council) for legislation to authorize the appointment of Jason DeLeon as a police officer in the city of Boston, notwithstanding the maximum age requirement. [Local Approval Received.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act directing the city of Boston police department to waive the maximum age requirement for police officers for Jason DeLeon. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, including the 2provisions of Chapter 43 of the Acts of 2007, the City of Boston Police Department shall waive 3the maximum age requirement for original appointment of police officers for Jason DeLeon. If 4Jason DeLeon meets all other requirements set forth by the Boston Police Department, he shall 5be eligible to have his name certified for original appointment to the position of police officer. 6 SECTION 2. 7 The provisions of this act shall take effect upon its passage.
