2828 An Act relative to changing the minimum age requirement for kindergarten.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 The twenty-first paragraph of section 1B of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing
3232 2in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- The
3333 3mandatory minimum age for attendance of kindergarten shall be for a child 5 years of age for
3434 4attendance in the school year beginning in September of the calendar year in which he or she
3535 5attains the age of 5.
