3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 Local public school jurisdictions and school committees have the right to reject any and
3333 2all guidance and directives from DESE entirely or at the line item level without any fear of
3434 3reprisal in the form of faculty and administration losing their licensure, criminal referrals of
3535 4faculty, administration or school committee members, or the withholding of state funds. The
3636 5power to dictate all policy and procedure in local school jurisdictions is held by the school
3737 6committee members and the citizens and parents that elect them.
