| 28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 30 | 30 | | 1 Chapter 74 of General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 2amended by inserting after Section 7C the following new Section:- |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 3 Section 7D. Non-vocational and trade public high schools and middle schools may |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 4provide vocational and trade learning for students who are unable to attend a regional vocational |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 5school. This provision shall be optional at the local level. This provision is meant for those |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 6students who (i) are not accepted into a dedicated vocational and trade school or program; (ii) |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 7left a vocational school or trade school; and (iii) live in the public school’s district. The |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 8Department of Education shall provide guidance on such learning and develop a waiver program |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 9to allow schools and students this opportunity. |
