2828 An Act relative to teaching certification.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section 38G of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as amended by chapter 154
3232 2of the acts of 2022, is hereby further amended by inserting after the fifteenth paragraph the
3333 3following paragraph:-
3434 4 For a person who, because of a temporary or permanent disability arising from
3535 5intellectual, sensory, emotional, physical or environmental factors, or other specific learning
3636 6disabilities, is or would be unable to pass the written examination, the board shall create a
3737 7practical alternative assessment to the test requirement of the eligibility criteria for certification
3838 8as a provisional educator and certification as a provisional educator with advanced standing.
3939 9 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect 180 days following its passage.
