2828 Proposal for a legislative amendment to the Constitution relative to voting rights.
2929 A majority of all the members elected to the Senate and House of Representatives, in
3030 joint session, hereby declares it to be expedient to alter the Constitution by the adoption of the
3131 following Article of Amendment, to the end that it may become a part of the Constitution [if
3232 similarly agreed to in a joint session of the next General Court and approved by the people at the
3333 state election next following]:
3434 ARTICLE OF AMENDMENT.
3535 1 Article III of the Amendments to the Constitution, as amended, is hereby further
3636 2amended by striking out the words “, excepting persons who are incarcerated in a correctional
3737 3facility due to a felony conviction, and”, inserted by Article CXX of the Amendments to the
3838 4Constitution.
