29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |

31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the |
---|
32 | 32 | | 2contrary, Chapter 70B, section 2 of the general laws, as appearing in the 2006 official edition, is |

33 | 33 | | 3hereby amended by including herein the following definition: |

34 | 34 | | 4 Ergonomics: the scientific discipline concerned with designing to physical, cognitive, |
---|
35 | 35 | | 5and organizational needs of students and educators, in an effort to optimize safety, comfort and |
---|
36 | 36 | | 6ease of use, productivity, and performance. |

37 | 37 | | 7 SECTION 2. Chapter 70B, section 3 shall be amended by adding section 3(x): |

38 | 38 | | 8 to consider the feasibility of the integration of ergonomic models appropriate for |

39 | 39 | | 9classrooms and laboratories within the scope of the construction or rehabilitation of a particular 2 of 2 |
