27	27	An Act relative to candidate information on ballots.
28	28	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
29	29	of the same, as follows:
30	30	1 SECTION 1. Section 8 of chapter 53 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
31	31	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3, the words “his residence, with
32	32	3street and number, if any,” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- their town or city
33	33	4of residence, if any;
34	34	5 SECTION 2. Section 34 of said chapter 53, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by
35	35	6striking out the fifth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
36	36	7 Against the name of a candidate for an elective office, for a ward or town committee or
37	37	8for state committee shall be printed their town or city of residence, if any.
38	38	9 SECTION 3. Section 106 of said chapter 53, as so appearing, is hereby further amended
39	39	10by striking out the fourth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:- 2 of 2
40	40	11 Against the name of a candidate for an elective or caucus office shall be printed their
41	41	12town or city of residence, if any.
42	42	13 SECTION 4. Section 41 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
43	43	14amended by striking out, in lines 6 and 7, the following words:- , with the name of the street and
44	44	15number, if any, of his residence.
45	45	16 SECTION 5. Said section 41 of said chapter 54, as so appearing, is hereby further
46	46	17amended by striking out, in lines 9 and 10, the words “the street on which he resides, with his
47	47	18street number” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- their town or city of
48	48	19residence.
49	49	20 SECTION 6. Said section 41 of said chapter 54, as so appearing, is hereby further
50	50	21amended by striking out, in lines 28 and 29, the words “the street on which he resides, with his
51	51	22street number” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- their town or city of
52	52	23residence.
