2727 An Act relative to candidate information on ballots.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 SECTION 1. Section 8 of chapter 53 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3131 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3, the words “his residence, with
3232 3street and number, if any,” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- their town or city
3333 4of residence, if any;
3434 5 SECTION 2. Section 34 of said chapter 53, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by
3535 6striking out the fifth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
3636 7 Against the name of a candidate for an elective office, for a ward or town committee or
3737 8for state committee shall be printed their town or city of residence, if any.
3838 9 SECTION 3. Section 106 of said chapter 53, as so appearing, is hereby further amended
3939 10by striking out the fourth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:- 2 of 2
4040 11 Against the name of a candidate for an elective or caucus office shall be printed their
4141 12town or city of residence, if any.
4242 13 SECTION 4. Section 41 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
4343 14amended by striking out, in lines 6 and 7, the following words:- , with the name of the street and
4444 15number, if any, of his residence.
4545 16 SECTION 5. Said section 41 of said chapter 54, as so appearing, is hereby further
4646 17amended by striking out, in lines 9 and 10, the words “the street on which he resides, with his
4747 18street number” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- their town or city of
4848 19residence.
4949 20 SECTION 6. Said section 41 of said chapter 54, as so appearing, is hereby further
5050 21amended by striking out, in lines 28 and 29, the words “the street on which he resides, with his
5151 22street number” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- their town or city of
5252 23residence.
