The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act to protect the public health, safety and welfare including but not limited to the drinking water supply in Plymouth Carver Sole Source Aquifer, designated under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act by the United States Environmental Protection Agency in 1990. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 There shall be a one-year moratorium on the extraction of minerals, sand and gravel from 2land for the purposes of commercial sale in Plymouth and Bristol Counties. This includes 3extraction and commercial sale on land zoned for agricultural purposes.
