An Act to add sex and gender as protected classes for crime prosecutions.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 39 of chapter 265 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, 
2is hereby amended in subsection (a) by inserting in line 4, after the words “national origin” the 
3following words:- , sex, gender.
