2828 An Act relative to non-compete agreements for veterinarians.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby
3232 2amended by adding the following section:-
3333 3 Section 59B. Any contract or agreement which creates or establishes the terms of a
3434 4partnership, employment, or any other form of professional relationship with a veterinarian
3535 5registered to practice veterinary medicine pursuant to section 55 of this chapter, which includes
3636 6any restriction of the right of such veterinarian to practice veterinary medicine in any geographic
3737 7area for any period of time after the termination of such partnership, employment or professional
3838 8relationship shall be void and unenforceable with respect to said restriction; provided, however,
3939 9that nothing herein shall render void or unenforceable the remaining provisions of any such
4040 10contract or agreement.
