2828 An Act to preserve the eternal bonds between people and their animals.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Chapter 114 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby
3232 2amended by adding the following section:-
3333 3 Section 52. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, a town, city,
3434 4cemetery corporation or other entity legally responsible for the maintenance or operation of a
3535 5cemetery or burial place may allow co-interment of both human and animal remains including
3636 6cremated remains. Such entity may issue their own policies on fees, interments, and other
3737 7requirements.
