2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Section 70F of chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding, after line
3232 211, the following paragraph:-
3333 3 Notwithstanding the above, if a healthcare provider, first responder, police officer, fire
3434 4official, prison guard, or other public officer in the line of duty comes in contact with the blood
3535 5or bodily fluid of a patient or person who may be infected, such tests may be performed and the
3636 6result made known to the person who may have been infected despite the inability or refusal of
3737 7the patient or person to give written consent.
