2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary-
3030 2 All law enforcement officers and student resource officers required to be trained in de-
3131 3escalation techniques shall, subject to appropriation, be provided with de-escalation equipment
3232 4that can serve as a barrier to protect the public and the officer so as to result in a de-escalated and
3333 5safe interaction between law enforcement officials and the public and student resource officers
