| 29 | 29 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of transitional |

| 30 | 30 | | 2assistance shall provide financial assistance to an otherwise eligible pregnant person with no |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3dependent child beginning when the pregnancy is verified; provided, however, that such |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4assistance shall be the amount for one person under the transitional aid to families with |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5dependent children program. |
