An Act to provide diabetes prevention program benefits for GIC insurees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 Chapter 32A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby
2amended by inserting after section 17R the following section:-
3 Section 17S. The commission shall provide to any active or retired employee of the
4commonwealth who is insured under the group insurance commission and is identified as
5someone with prediabetes those items and services furnished under a diabetes prevention
6program recognized as a National Diabetes Prevention Program as established by the federal
7Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
