2525 An Act to incentivize public service.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 Section 6 of Chapter 62 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after
2929 2subsection (dd) the following subsection:-
3030 3 (ee)(1) As used in this subsection, “qualifying employer” shall have the same meaning as
3131 4in 34 CFR 685.219.
3232 5 (2) A taxpayer employed by a qualifying employer shall be allowed a tax credit against
3333 6the taxes imposed by this chapter for employment in public service for a collective 12 months.
3434 7The credit shall be equal to $2,000.
3535 8 (3) The secretary of labor and workforce development shall promulgate regulations for
3636 9the credit.
