| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2section 15ZZZZZZ, the following section:- |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3 Section 15AAAAAAA. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4September 22nd as Military Service Members and Veterans Suicide Awareness and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5Remembrance Day, in recognition and in honor of fallen service members and veterans and their |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6families, to acknowledge that suicide among service members and veterans is an epidemic, to |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7foster awareness of suicide among service members and veterans, and to call for suicide |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8prevention measures for service members and veterans, and thereby to support the service |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9members and veterans who dedicate their lives to protect and to serve our country, and shall |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 10recommend that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people of the |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 11Commonwealth of Massachusetts. |
