28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
30 | 30 | | 1 Chapter 6A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 16CC the |
---|
31 | 31 | | 2following section:- |
---|
32 | 32 | | 3 Section 16DD. (a) For purposes of this section, the term 'quasi-government agency' shall |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4mean a corporation that: (i) is supported by the government to provide services to citizens, |
---|
34 | 34 | | 5including, but not limited to, operating public buses and rail systems, developing drinking water |
---|
35 | 35 | | 6and managing public pension information; and (ii) has certain budgetary, governing and policy- |
---|
36 | 36 | | 7making independence from the executive and legislative branches. |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8 (b) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, a quasi-government |
---|
38 | 38 | | 9agency shall submit compensation information to the comptroller and the comptroller shall post |
---|
39 | 39 | | 10such information on the commonwealth’s open checkbook website. 2 of 2 |

40 | 40 | | 11 (c) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state auditor shall |
---|
41 | 41 | | 12publicly post audits conducted of a quasi-government agency on its website. |
