2727 An Act to promote public payroll transparency.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 Chapter 6A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 16CC the
3131 2following section:-
3232 3 Section 16DD. (a) For purposes of this section, the term 'quasi-government agency' shall
3333 4mean a corporation that: (i) is supported by the government to provide services to citizens,
3434 5including, but not limited to, operating public buses and rail systems, developing drinking water
3535 6and managing public pension information; and (ii) has certain budgetary, governing and policy-
3636 7making independence from the executive and legislative branches.
3737 8 (b) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, a quasi-government
3838 9agency shall submit compensation information to the comptroller and the comptroller shall post
3939 10such information on the commonwealth’s open checkbook website. 2 of 2
4040 11 (c) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state auditor shall
4141 12publicly post audits conducted of a quasi-government agency on its website.
