2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Section 1A of chapter 164 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the
3232 2following subsection:-
3333 3 (h) Notwithstanding any special or general law or regulation to the contrary, an electric
3434 4distribution company may construct, own and operate solar energy generation facilities or energy
3535 5storage facilities on federal military lands if the costs of such facilities are not funded by or
3636 6recovered from the electric distribution company’s ratepayers. Such projects shall not be
3737 7required to receive approval from the department.
3838 8 Federal military installations within the commonwealth shall not be subject to renewable
3939 9energy production caps or net metering limitations for each individual installation.
