[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE SENATE, NO. 2350 OF 2023-2024.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act relative to veteran employment opportunities. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Chapter 115 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby 2amended by inserting after Section 2C the following:- 3 Section 2D. Program to further enhance employment opportunities and outcomes among 4veterans 5 The commissioner shall authorize reimbursement to Veterans for costs associated with 6taking municipal civil service exams. The commissioner shall authorize no more than three 7reimbursements per Veteran, provided further, no reimbursement shall be authorized if the 8Veteran fails a subsequent exam. The commissioner shall engage with interested stakeholders 9and organizations that provide services to veterans in the development of the program.
