No. 2506 Senate, March 20, 2025 -- Text of the Senate amendment (Senator Rodrigues) to the House Bill relative to extending certain COVID-19 measures adopted during the state of emergency (House, No. 62) The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ 1 SECTION 1. Section 30A of chapter 20 of the acts of 2021, as most recently amended by 2section 40 of chapter 2 of the acts of 2023, is hereby further amended by striking out the words 3“March 31, 2025” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- June 30, 2027. 4 SECTION 2. The first sentence of section 15 of chapter 22 of the acts of 2022 is hereby 5amended by striking out the words “held during the outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus, also 6known as COVID-19, and subsequent variants,”. 7 SECTION 3. The first sentence of section 26 of said chapter 22 is hereby amended by 8striking out the words “during the outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus, also known as 9COVID-19, and subsequent variants, if the moderator in a town having a representative town 10meeting form of government determines that it is not possible to safely assemble the town 11meeting members and interested members of the public in a common location while complying 12with any applicable state or local orders, directives or guidance concerning public assemblies, 13the moderator” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- the moderator in a town 14having a representative town meeting form of government. 2 of 2 15 SECTION 4. Section 44B of said chapter 22, inserted by section 50 of chapter 2 of the 16acts of 2023, is hereby amended by striking out the words “March 31, 2025” and inserting in 17place thereof the following words:- June 30, 2027.
