| 33 | 33 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 34 | 34 | | 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, |

| 35 | 35 | | 2is hereby amended by adding the following section:- |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 3 Section 100. The department of elementary and secondary education shall develop best |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 4practices and guidance for the purchase and installation of wireless internet service in schools. In |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 5developing these guidelines, the department shall consider and prioritize practices that protect |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 6the health and safety of public school students and staff. |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 7 SECTION 2. Chapter 15A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by |

| 41 | 41 | | 8adding the following section:- 2 of 2 |

| 42 | 42 | | 9 Section 48. The board shall develop best practices and guidance for the purchase and |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | 10installation of wireless internet service in public institutions of higher education. In developing |
