2525 An Act to strengthen the long-term care workforce and capital trust fund.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 SECTION 1. Subsection (c ) of section 35TTT of chapter 10 of the general laws, as most
2929 2recently amended by chapter 197 of the acts of 2024, is hereby further amended at the end
3030 3thereof the following:-
3131 4 “Members of said advisory committee, who are not state employees, shall be deemed
3232 5“special state employees,” pursuant to the provisions of chapter 268a of the general laws as
3333 6appearing in the 2020 Official Edition.”
3434 7 SECTION 2. Said subsection (e) of said section 35TTT of chapter 10, as amended by
3535 8chapter 197 of the acts of 2024, is hereby amended by inserting after the word, “facilities,” the
3636 9following:- “provided, however, that eligibility for any such no interest or forgivable capital loan
3737 10shall be limited to not-for-profit entities;" and by inserting in the same subsection, after the
3838 11words “regional entities," the following: “ and (D) for the construction of free-standing small 2 of 2
3939 12house nursing homes serving less than fourteen residents, and operated in collaboration with
4040 13home and community-based supports and services.”
