| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 6 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as amended by section 14 of |

| 32 | 32 | | 2chapter 343 of the Acts of 2024, is hereby further amended by adding the following subsection:- |

| 33 | 33 | | 3 (g) The total assessed amount for acute hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, non- |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4hospital provider organizations, pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, pharmacy benefit |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5managers and surcharge payors shall not increase from the previous year at a rate greater than the |

| 36 | 36 | | 6health care cost growth benchmark approved by the commission pursuant to section 9 for the |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7same year. |
