BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 18 Article – Courts and Judicial Proceedings 19 5–301. 20 (d) “Local government” means: 21 (28) The nonprofit corporation serving as the local public transportation 22 authority for Garrett County pursuant to a contract or memorandum of understanding with 23 2 HOUSE BILL 1474 Garrett County (Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc.); [and] 1 (29) The nonprofit corporation serving as the industrial development 2 authority of Carroll County established under Title 12, Subtitle 1 of the Economic 3 Development Article; 4 (30) DELMARVA COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., IN DORCHESTER 5 COUNTY; AND 6 (31) THE MARYLAND ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES POOLED OPEB 7 TRUST FUND. 8 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 9 October 1, 2022. 10
