20	20	FOR the purpose of providing for the annual salaries of the Comptroller, the Treasurer, the 3

30	30	SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 11

59	59	including the activities of the Board of Public Works, bond sales, and investment and 7

116	116	SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III, § 35 12
117	117	of the Maryland Constitution, this Act may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary 13
118	118	or compensation of the Comptroller, Treasurer, Attorney General, or Secretary of State 14
119	119	while serving in a term of office beginning before the effective date of this Act, but the 15
120	120	provisions of this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the Comptroller, Treasurer, 16
121	121	Attorney General, or Secretary of State shall take effect at the beginning of the next 17
122	122	following term of office. This limitation does not apply to an individual appointed or elected 18
123	123	after the effective date of this Act to fill out an unexpired term. 19

125	125	SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 20
126	126	October 1, 2022. 21
