29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Childhood apraxia of speech causes children to have significant 10 |

30 | 30 | | difficulty learning to speak and is among the most severe speech deficits in children; and 11 |

32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, While learning to speak comes effortlessly to most children, those with 12 |
---|
33 | 33 | | apraxia require early, appropriate, and intensive speech therapy for many years to learn 13 |

36 | 36 | | WHEREAS, Without appropriate speech therapy, children with apraxia will have 15 |

37 | 37 | | diminished communication skills and are also placed at high risk for secondary impacts in 16 |
