25	25	curriculum guides for expanded American history; requiring each public school to 8

27	27	certain school year; requiring the State Department of Education and the State 10
28	28	Board of Education to jointly analyze certain content standards for expanded 11

82	82	(a) The State Department of Education and the State Board of Education jointly 21
83	83	shall analyze content standards for expanded American history included in the State 22
84	84	Standards and Frameworks in Social Studies of the Maryland College and Career 23
85	85	Readiness Standards, including the content standards for each grade level. 24

87	87	(b) On or before October 1, 2024, the State Department of Education and the State 25
88	88	Board of Education jointly shall report to the General Assembly, in accordance with § 26
89	89	2–1257 of the State Government Article, on the analysis conducted under subsection (a) of 27
90	90	this section. 28

92	92	SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 29
93	93	1, 2023. 30
