BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 15 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 16 Article – Health – General 17 21–330.3. 18 (A) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO A FOOD SERV ICE FACILITY THAT HA S 19 AN ANNUAL GROSS INCO ME OF $400,000 OR LESS. 20 (B) THE OWNER AND OPERATO R OF A FOOD SERVICE FACILITY SHALL 21 DEVELOP AND , BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2025, IMPLEMENT AN AUTOMAT ED 22 EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLAT OR PROGRAM THAT MEET S THE REQUIREMENTS O F § 23 13–517 OF THE EDUCATION ARTICLE. 24 2 HOUSE BILL 288 (C) THE DEPARTMENT AND THE MARYLAND INSTITUTE FOR EMERGENCY 1 MEDICAL SERVICES SYSTEMS JOINTLY SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS TH AT: 2 (1) ESTABLISH GUIDELINES FOR PERIODIC INSPECT IONS AND 3 ANNUAL MAINTENANCE O F THE AUTOMATED EXTE RNAL DEFIBRILLATORS ; AND 4 (2) ASSIST THE OWNER AND OPERATOR OF A FO OD SERVICE FACILITY 5 IN CARRYING OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS S ECTION. 6 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 7 October 1, 2023. 8
