BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 12 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 13 Article – Health – General 14 [18–601.1. 15 (a) An individual who has the human immunodeficiency virus may not knowingly 16 transfer or attempt to transfer the human immunodeficiency virus to another individual. 17 (b) A person who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor 18 2 HOUSE BILL 485 and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $2,500 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 3 years or both.] 2 SECTION 2.
