22- SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND,

29- (a) This section applies only in the City of Frederick.
37+ SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLA ND, 12

31- (b) A District Court judge who tries and commits a vagrant or other offender of a
32-municipal law or ordinance, whenever practicable, shall assign the offender to work on the
33-public roads of the county or City of Frederick.

35- (c) The Sheriff or other officer into whose custody an offender is committed under
36-this section shall comply with the court’s order of assignment.

38- (d) (1) An offender ordered by the court to work on the public roads of the City
39-shall be guarded by the superintendent of streets or by any other individual deputized by
40-the Sheriff.
