BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 12 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 13 Article – Real Property 14 14–132.1. 15 (A) A PERSON CLAIMING POSS ESSION OF A PROPERTY UNDER LAW MAY 16 SUBMIT A SWORN AFFID AVIT TO THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE COUNTY I N WHICH 17 THE PROPERTY IS LOCA TED STATING THAT THE PERSON IN POSSESSION OF THE 18 PROPERTY IS UNLAWFULLY ON THE PROPERTY. 19 (B) ON RECEIPT OF AN AFFI DAVIT SUBMITTED UNDER SUBSECTION (A) OF 20 THIS SECTION, THE DISTRICT COURT SHALL ISSUE A WARRAN T TO THE SHERIFF , 21 WHO SHALL PROCEED IM MEDIATELY TO EXECUTE THE WARRANT AND RETURN 22 POSSESSION OF THE PR OPERTY TO THE PERSON CLAIMING POSSESSION . 23 2 SENATE BILL 1181 SECTION 2.
