AN ACT concerning 1 
 
Wicomico County – Vehicle Laws – Prohibition on Roadway Solicitations 2 
 
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person in Wicomico County from standing in a roadway, 3 
median divider, or intersection to solicit money or donations from the occupant of a 4 
vehicle; and generally relating to roadway solicitations in Wicomico County. 5 
 
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 6 
 Article – Transportation 7 
Section 21–507(c) 8

 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 11 
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 12 
 
Article – Transportation 13 
 
21–507. 14 
 
 (c) In Carroll County, Charles County, Harford County, [and] Washington 15 
County, AND WICOMICO COUNTY, a person may not stand in a roadway, median divider, 16 
or intersection to solicit money or donations of any kind from the occupant of a vehicle. 17 
 
 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 18 
October 1, 2024. 19
