BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 12 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 13 Article – Health – General 14 19–308.12. 15 (A) (1) EACH HOSPITAL IN THE STATE SHALL PROVIDE P ARKING AT NO 16 COST TO: 17 (I) EACH INPATIENT FOR THE DURATION OF THE INPATIENT’S 18 ADMISSION; AND 19 (II) EACH OUTPATIENT ATTENDING A SCHEDULED MEDICAL 20 APPOINTMENT FOR THE DURATION OF THE APPOINTMENT . 21 2 HOUSE BILL 519 (2) PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES TO EACH PARKING 1 FACILITY OWNED, OPERATED, OR LEASED BY THE HOS PITAL AT WHICH THE 2 INPATIENT OR OUTPATI ENT IS RECEIVING SER VICES. 3 (B) EACH HOSPITAL SHALL D ISPLAY SIGNAGE AT EACH PUBLIC ENTRANCE 4 AND PARKING FACILIT Y INFORMING INPATIENTS AND OUTPATI ENTS OF THE 5 AVAILABILITY OF PARK ING AT NO COST. 6 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 7 October 1, 2025. 8
