2828 (a) There is a Task Force on Education Funding and Student Population Growth. 8

3030 (b) The Task Force consists of the following members: 9

3232 (1) one member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the President of 10

3535 (2) one member of the House of Delegates, appointed by the Speaker of the 12

6969 (1) may not receive compensation as a member of the Task Force; but 11

7171 (2) is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State 12
7272 Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget. 13

7676 (1) analyze challenges related to the delay in student enrollment counts 15

7979 (2) analyze the connection between growing student populations and the 17

8282 (3) make recommendations regarding improvements to the provision of 19

8585 (g) On or before December 15, 2025, the Task Force shall report its findings and 21
8686 recommendations to the Governor and, in accordance with § 2 –1257 of the State 22
8787 Government Article, the General Assembly. 23

8989 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 24
9090 1, 2025. It shall remain effective for a period of 1 year and, at the end of June 30, 2026, this 25
9191 Act, with no further action required by the General Assembly, shall be abrogated and of no 26
9292 further force and effect. 27
