| 29 | 29 | | (a) The Maryland Transportation Authority shall conduct a study on the 10 |

| 30 | 30 | | feasibility of capturing the image of only the rear license plate of a vehicle, rather than 11 |

| 31 | 31 | | images of both the front and rear license plates, at video toll facilities in the State. 12 |

| 33 | 33 | | (b) The study required under subsection (a) of this section shall identify: 13 |
|---|

|---|
| 35 | 35 | | (1) any system and equipment upgrades necessary to reliably capture the 14 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | image of the rear license plate of a vehicle at a video toll facility; and 15 |
|---|

| 38 | 38 | | (2) any potential impacts that may occur as the result of capturing the 16 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | image of only the rear license plate of a vehicle rather than both the front and rear license 17 |
|---|

| 42 | 42 | | (c) On or before December 1, 2025, the Authority shall report its findings and 19 |
