2721 FOR the purpose of approving certain projects for the acquisition, development, and 3
2822 improvement of certain academic facilities for the University System of Maryland; 4
2923 authorizing the issuance of bonds by the University System of Maryland in a certain 5
3024 total principal amount for financing the projects; providing that the bonds are not a 6
3125 debt or an obligation of the State or any of its subdivisions; and generally relating to 7
3226 academic facilities bonding authority of the University System of Maryland and 8

3529 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 10

3832 (a) In accordance with § 19–102(d) of the Education Article, each of the following 12
3933 projects is approved as a project for an academic facility, and the University System of 13
4034 Maryland may issue, sell, and deliver bonds in the total principal amount of $5,000,000 for 14
4135 the purposes of financing and refinancing the costs of the following projects: 15

4640 (b) In accordance with § 19–102(d) of the Education Article, those systemwide 18
4741 capital facilities renewal projects for existing academic facilities of the constituent 19
