AN ACT concerning 1 
 
Prison Education Delivery Reform Commission – Reporting and Sunset 2 
Extension  3 
 
FOR the purpose of extending the time for submission of the interim report and final report 4 
of the Prison Education Delivery Reform Commission; extending the termination 5 
date for the Commission; and generally relating to the Prison Education Delivery 6 
Reform Commission.  7 
 
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 8 
 Chapter 945 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2024 9 
 Section 1(g) and 2 10 
 
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 11 
 Chapter 946 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2024 12 
 Section 1(g) and 2 13 
 
 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 14 
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 15 
 
Chapter 945 of the Acts of 2024 16 
 
 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17 
That: 18 
  2 	HOUSE BILL 877  
 
 
 (g) (1) On or before June 1, [2025] 2028, the Commission shall submit an 1 
interim report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor and, in accordance with 2 
§ 2–1257 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly. 3 
 
 (2) On or before January 1, [2026] 2029, the Commission shall submit a 4 
final report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor and, in accordance with § 5 
2–1257 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly.  6 
 
 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 7 
1, 2024. It shall remain effective for a period of [2] 5 years and 1 month and, at the end of 8 
June 30, [2026] 2029, this Act, with no further action required by the General Assembly, 9 
shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect. 10 
 
Chapter 946 of the Acts of 2024 11 
 
 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 12 
That: 13
