A BILL ENTITLED
AN ACT concerning 1
Medicaid Management Information System – Surveillance and Utilization 2
Review Subsystem – Publication of Procurement Schedule 3
FOR the purpose of requiring the Maryland Department of Health to publish on its website 4
a schedule for the issuance of a solicitation for the procurement of a Surveillance and 5
Utilization Review Subsystem of the Medicaid Management Information System; 6
requiring the Department to publish on its website notice of certain time frames at 7
least a certain number of days before the issuance of the procurement; and generally 8
relating to the procurement of a Surveillance and Utilization Review Subsystem of 9
the Medicaid Management Information System. 10
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYL AND, 11
That: 12
(a) On or before October 1, 2025, the Maryland Department of Health shall 13
publish on its website a schedule for the issuance of a solicitation for the procurement of a 14
Surveillance and Utilization Review Subsystem of the Medicaid Management Information 15
System. 16
(b) At least 60 days before the issuance of a solicitation described under 17
subsection (a) of this section, the Maryland Department of Health shall publish on its 18
website written notice of the contracting procedures, requirements, and timetables. 19
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 20
1, 2025. 21
