Page 1 - 131LR0603(01)1 2 That, no later than January 1, 2024, the Department of Health and Human 3 Services shall amend its rules in Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapters II 4 and III, Sections 19, 40 and 96 and Chapter 5: Office of Aging and Disability Services 5 Policy Manual, Section 63 in order to allow for reimbursement for a pharmacist licensed 6 under the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 32, chapter 117 to provide medication evaluation 7 or consultation to a MaineCare member via telehealth or in a home visit when technology 8 is not the most effective mode of consultation. 9 10 office of MaineCare services shall report regarding the implementation of this legislation 11 to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over health and 12 human services matters. The report must be submitted no later than December 5, 2024. The 13 committee may report out legislation to modify the rules amended pursuant to section 1 to 14 the 132nd Legislature in 2025. 15 16 This resolve allows a pharmacist licensed under the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 32, 17 chapter 117 to be reimbursed for providing medication evaluation or consultation to a 18 MaineCare member via telehealth or in a home visit when technology is not the most 19 effective mode of consultation for services.
