Page 1 - 132LR1983(01) 1 2 3 by enacting at the end a new paragraph to read: 4 The fire department of a municipality registered by the commissioner under Title 25, 5 section 2448-A may conduct a plan review under this section if the municipal employee 6 conducting the plan review meets the requirements of Title 25, section 2448-A, subsection 7 2, paragraph B and the municipal fire department establishes a process for the review of a 8 plan that includes the requirements of this section and a requirement of thorough evaluation 9 of a plan to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. If the municipality 10 has reviewed and approved a plan that meets all the requirements of this section, the 11 municipality may issue a permit to the fire sprinkler system contractor. 12 13 This bill allows a municipal fire department to conduct a sprinkler plan review if the 14 municipal employee conducting the review is certified as a plan reviewer by the National 15 Fire Protection Association and the municipal fire department establishes a review process 16 that includes a thorough evaluation of a plan to ensure compliance with all applicable codes 17 and standards. 13 14 15 16 17
