4 B.  Social studies and history, including American history, government, and civics and 
5 personal finance--2 years or the equivalent in standards achievement;
6 as amended by PL 2019, c. 202, §1, is 
7 further amended to read:
8 D.  Science, including at least one year of laboratory study--2 years or the equivalent 
9 in standards achievement; and
10 as amended by PL 2019, c. 202, §1, is 
11 further amended to read:
12 E. Fine arts, which may include art, music, forensics or drama--one year or the 
13 equivalent in standards achievement.; and
14 is enacted to read:
15 F.  Personal finance--one course, which must be taught as a stand-alone course.

17 This bill requires high school students to complete a stand-alone course in personal 
18 finance to meet the minimum requirements for a high school diploma.
