Resolve, to Require the Towns of Kittery and York to Develop a 
Boundary Description

2 That the Town of Kittery and the Town of York shall jointly develop a 
3 description, in metes and bounds, of the boundary between the 2 towns that reflects the 
4 current boundary as understood in each town's respective assessing maps for all parcels 
5 along the presently recognized boundary.

7 jointly submit, no later than December 3, 2025, the description of the boundary between 
8 the 2 towns as developed pursuant to section 1 to the Joint Standing Committee on State 
9 and Local Government. The committee may report out a bill based on the description 
10 establishing a boundary between the towns of Kittery and York to the Second Regular 
11 Session of the 132nd Legislature.

13 This resolve requires the Town of Kittery and the Town of York to jointly develop a 
14 description, in metes and bounds, of the boundary between the 2 towns based on the 
15 assessing maps in each of the towns. The towns are required to jointly provide the 
16 description to the Joint Standing Committee on State and Local Government, which may 
17 report out a bill to the Second Regular Session of the 132nd Legislature establishing the 
18 boundary between the 2 towns.
