5 The Secretary of State may issue, upon request of the applicant, a driver's license under 
6 this subchapter or a nondriver identification card under section 1410 that meets the 
7 standards of the federal REAL ID Act of 2005, Public Law 109-13.  A person may not hold 
8 a REAL ID compliant driver's license simultaneously with another license with the same 
9 class or restriction indicated on the license. The Secretary of State shall provide an option 
10 for the applicant to be issued a driver's license under this subchapter or a nondriver 
11 identification card under section 1410 that does not meet the standards of the federal REAL 
12 ID Act of 2005 and that is valid for all state identification requirements.

14 This bill requires the Secretary of State to provide the option for an applicant to be 
15 issued a driver's license or a nondriver identification card that does not meet the standards 
16 of the federal REAL ID Act of 2005 and that is valid for all state identification 
17 requirements.
